Not currently accepting new students. My name is Eric Richardson and I hold a Philosophy bachelor's (University of Central Florida) and Liberal Studies (master's degree). I am a chess player and consistent Nakamura fan (I watch his twitch/kick stream). I am pursuing a philosophy M.A. and I plan to apply for a Ph.D. with the aim of teaching. I am a class C player and aiming to be a GM.
Questions regarding the game of chess can be sent to me. I have a broad knowledge of the game from playing tournaments, online chess, and being exposed to chess content. I do not
currently teach chess. However, I have done it in the past for 10 dollars an hour on chess.com. I give the first two lessons free and then charge beyond that point. In my own personal chess training I have focused significantly on tactics/puzzles. I view tactical ability as providing a higher threshold for high level chess when strategy, openings, endgames, etc. are combined at a later point.
