Andreikin Wins 4th Speed Chess Grand Prix
Russian GM Dmitry Andreikin won the fourth Speed Chess Championship Grand Prix after beating UAE's GM Salem Saleh in the knockout final. GM Vladimir Fedoseev continues to lead the overall Grand Prix leaderboard.
The next Speed Chess Championship Grand Prix will be played on June 30 at 10 a.m. Pacific / 19:00 Central Europe.
The fourth Speed Chess Grand Prix tournament was held on Tuesday, June 23, with 762 participants. It was GM Alireza Firouzja who won the Swiss part, five days after he turned 17 years old.

Firouzja scored two draws and eight wins and was the only player to finish on 9/10. Here's one of his games: a quick win against Russian GM Sanan Sjugirov.

In the eight-player knockout, Andreikin was having the best day. He beat GM Parham Maghsoodloo and then his compatriot GM Maxim Matlakov before scoring 2-0 in the final against Salem, who had beaten Firouzja and then GM Haik Martirosyan.
Andreikin won the $1,000 first prize and 12 GP points while Salem took second ($500 and eight GP points). Martirosyan and Matlakov both won $200 and four GP points while the losing quarterfinalists earned $100 and two GP points.
Ukrainian GM and former world women's champion Anna Ushenina (@Enki007) won the $100 prize for being the top-scoring female player.
Below are the current Speed Chess Championship Grand Prix standings. At the end of the season, the players with the four best scores will advance to the Speed Chess Championship to be hosted later this year.
