I discovered this site in early 2024, when my friends got me into chess. Furthermore, I made a new year's resolution of "learn how to play chess". I'd say I've accomplished that goal, so from now on, my new goal is: "don't be absolute dumpster fire at chess". I'm struggling with that one, no doubt. I turned to the social side of Chess.com soon after joining, and had many trail and error clubs. I made about 3 clubs and disabled them all before creating my current club in mid-May. I'm so grateful for the community, as I've made so many new friends and continue to make more! So far, I've had 600+ people join my club, 2,000+ people view my profile, and 250+ people follow/friend me!
Welp, enough of talking about this site! Other than playing chess, I dedicate a lot of my time into playing baseball, cello, and video games. I've been playing baseball for roughly 4 years, and it's been a blast. Needless to say, I've had fun every step of the way, win or lose. I've been playing cello since I was in fifth grade, and I'd say I've come a pretty long way. I've participated in my school's honors program, and even thought about majoring in music for college (I'll probably stick to architecture though). Lastly, I love video games (maybe a bit too much). I mainly play first-person shooter game, such as Fortnite (I know, I'm brain rotted too), but others such as Minecraft also stand out to me. Overall, I'm grateful that I'm able to participate in all of these activities and I'm able to thrive in them.
