Chess Club Sarajevo, as the oldest chess club in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was founded in 1904. Currently, there are over 70 active in-person club members, an active chess school, and plenty of tournament activities. The club has been the champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina more than 30 times, and in 1994, in a joint team with SK Bosna under the name Bosna-Sarajevo, won the title of chess club champion of Europe. Some of the most famous chess players who came from the club are Grandmasters Ivan Sokolov and Predrag Nikolic and International masters Rajko Bogdanovic and Zvonimir Mestrovic
